It arrived today and after adjusting it to fit me and installing the second holster, it seem to work very well with my D300 and D90! I have no doubt it can handle much heavier Nikon's with lenses without risk of the system breaking! The holster connections/mounts are metal and seem to be extremely strong with a stiff protector flap for the camera to lay against! The is much much less swinging of the camera than the black rapid strap allows, so I have less worry about my camera swinging into something!The double carry setup does make the need for care in narrow places for sure, but so did my strap setup! I don't feel as much need to have a hand on my camera all the time when it seems to stay in place without the swinging of my strap!Downsides are the plates you mount to your tripod mount. It tends to make it so the cameras don't fit as well in my case and backpack.
