DIY Camranger

Hi when I travel to the USA I will be required to nearly instantly share my images to be placed on a website. I have been looking at the camranger and thought "hmmm that looks expensive" then doing some research I have concluded I could get a similar set up for 1/3rd the cost. Has anyone else made a DIY Camranger set up? If so what did you use? I have ordered a $55 battery powered modem/router to use.

Do you want to borrow my CamRanger while you're stateside? If it'll save you from building a DIY just for this trip, you're welcome to use it.

Hey mate thanks for the offer, I have already ordered the router at $70 AUD it should arrive before I leave on the 7th November. The DIY version shouldn't be too hard but if it is then I may take you up on the offer :) Stay tuned.

There was a thread on here someplace before where the camranger was talked about and a DIY set up. I want to say it popped up just after @RocketCowboy bought his. I can't remember who did it. It seems like it was one of the regulars on here though.
