I am completely failing at this challenge. I haven't been taking my camera with me everyday so all I get are phone pics. And most of the time I am hunting for something to take a picture of. Then it doesn't reflect me. Its a forced picture and I don't like it.
Seriously considering opting out of this.
I don't think you are failing, and I am sure there are others that think the same.
This forum gets *tons* of hits, every day. There are "lurkers" viewing yours and others pictures for all kinds of reasons. Maybe it cheers their day....perhaps they need examples of photos so that they can learn to take better ones....and on, and on. Who knows who has looked and and enjoyed your shots?
Not everyone that sees your images will respond. That does not mean that your vision of photography in your life, in this forum is a failure.
Every image can not be one to hang on the wall and compete with what you think are fabulous photos from all over the world.
Your images are a glimpse into your life, and can be simple photos of what you see every day. Doesn't have to be a "masterpiece". Photography is moment of life captured...with PP, of course, it may not really have existed, but it is *Your* vision of what you saw....and felt. That is what you share. It's personal. Cannot be held up to someone else's image and judged. It is yours alone.
Capture with whatever camera you have. So what? Get a piece of tape, and label your phone with "Nikon". (Naturally, you will have more fun with your 5100...awesome camera!)
I encourage you not to give up. Don't worry about "hunting" for something to take a picture of, take a picture of everything, anything, show us what you see. Sometimes the worst turns out to be the best.
And, I need to take my own advice! :tranquillity:
