[QUOTE="canuck257, post: 846271, member: 38099"] I switched to DxO Photolab (PL) when version 1 was released, I am now using version 9.6. The attached was processed in PL, it was shot at 1800 ISO. I believe, as do may others, that it provides the best de-noising software currently available indeed, it has always led the field since version 1. It can be slow under certain conditions but DxO has largely solved that problem by utilizing GPU memory and only displaying denoise,/sharpening through a loupe that shows about 20% of the picture. It is not subsciption, it is outright purchase and, I am convinced it totally replaces LR certainly for my needs. I believe there is currently a free 30? day trial. On a personal note; This is my first attempt to offer advice/suggestions on any forum for a couple of years. That withdrawel and a long absence from all things photography has been the result of a confirmed diagnosis of Parkinsons Disease (PD) which has really limited my mobility amongst many other things. It seems that PD has more symptoms than a hospital full of hypocondriacs. I mention this only as a justiication for any poor grammer, spelling or nonsense prose. Your tolerance is appreciated.
