Debris in camera or in macro lens?

I have a d3100; when using my Tamron 90mm f2.8 lens (~8 months old), lately I've noticed a black fuzz in the viewfinder and in images that contain a lot of white. I've used the in-camera "auto" image sensor cleaner; that doesn't get rid of the fuzz. I don't notice the fuzz when using my other lenses. Any suggestions on how to clean the lens and/or body myself? Or should I have it professionally cleaned? Thanks!

Thanks, Scott. A blower as in compressed air, right? Can I use that in the camera body? I have no experience with cleaning my camera, other than standard cleaning of lens front elements and filters, and cleaning the sensor. I don't want to do the wrong thing and regret it later, but I've got to get rid of this stuff I'm seeing.
If you look at the attached image, you can see that on a white background there's LOTS of crud in my lens or in my camera. Honestly, I never notice it other than when using my macro to photograph a light-colored object. Thanks for your help.

This is the video that Jake posted for me when I needed to clean my sensor. The beginning part of the video shows how to use a rocketblaster to blow air inside the camera body. You won't want to use any type of compressed air as that is too strong and powerful. Here is a link the to Giottos large size rocketblaster (I suggest this brand because it has a filter on its back end so it doesn't suck in dust which would only wind up inside your camera):

Like I thought: the usual dirt on a sensor... And it is a very beautiful photo of a beautiful flower!:friendly_wink: Remember that it is absolutely impossible this kind of artifacts to be caused by the dirty lens (such debris would only make photos look somewhat softer than they should be).

If the "contamination" is only visible on the macro this is important. Take a different lens and shoot a light backgroud (sky, white wall etc.)at high f stop (small aperture). If the spots are still there then it is the sensor which needs cleaning. If however it is only with the one lens then the lens is probably the source.
