Message: <blockquote data-quote="dh photography" data-source="post: 327644" data-attributes="member: 25354">Thanks!   Some shots really do work better than others.   Seems there really needs to be solid contrast for the clarity to kick in.   I have done just that with backing off the full focal length some as of late.   It does seem to help get a better focus and DOF.   To me, the lens seems to stop just barely shy of sharp focus when the subject is out at full focal range.   Even when in manual, I'd like to turn it just a fraction farther to get it sharp.  Having the right program and knowledge to be able to layer and properly edit will hopefully help some too in the future.</blockquote>
