Need your advice! I slipped and my brand new AF-S Nikkor 16-85 1:3.5-5.6G ED lens hit the cement. The lens itself appears OK and it works. Does anyone have experience with Nikon repair? Can Nikon repair the damaged ring?
Thanks! 092113-0047.jpg092113-0059.jpg

Impact damage can cost around $150 to $250 to have the components replaced and calibrated. There are some cases that Nikon might tell you that it is not economical to repair it since the total cost might exceed the actual value of the lens. Contact Nikon Repair center online and send them the pictures. They might ask you to mail it to them first in order to conduct a full assessment.
