I find that it's generally most helpful to answer someone's question if I am able to do so directly.  Telling him to go read the manual MIGHT be considered by some to be a little bit snarky. At least, when the answer is a simple one.   For more complex answers,  I recommend the manual as the best place to start. I try to avoid giving that impression to people.</blockquote>
