D80 Shutter

a friend of mine has just got a D80 and when the shutter is pressed it takes about 1-2 sec to fire the shutter, (not instant) this has to be something to do with the settings but I could not find what it was to correct it for him, any ideas guys?

Did you check Exposure Delay mode in Custom Setting Menu 31

thank you Michael, I will phone my mate today and see what his setting is for exposure delay, problem is he is now and the road travelling and hard to contact, he is also running it at continuous frames per second and holding the shutter button in for the amount of shots he wants, tried to talk him out of this but he likes doing it that way, he only normally takes one shot at a time so why he uses that setting is beyond me, but would that have any effect on the shutter delay?

On my Nikon DSLR, exposure delay affects each continuous shot. But it is only about 0.4 second on the D80. Custom menu 31.
