d7000 went all black help

hey guys

i was covering an event while clicking pics ... all of a sudden my camera started taking dark pics
even on f1.4 iso800 shutter speed 40th of sec ... i took it to the dealer he says aperture controller has a spring inside which got broken ... and he says this is not included in warranty ... and i have to pay ...

is that true its not included ?? i dont even know if this is the prob ... or he is just trying to make some money

I can't imagine why this would not be covered unless it it considered a "consumable" like a battery. How many activations do you have on this camera?"
I would be pissed if it happened to me.
Can you contact Nikon and ask them? I never had to deal with their Customer Service (knock on wood) so I would not know first hand.

How long have you had the camera? Most of them have a one year warranty so if you are not past that point then I would think they should fix it. I would contact Nikon directly.
