[QUOTE="Eye-level, post: 68112, member: 6548"] Congratulations. I think you will be very happy with your new camera. I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot with a D7000 a few weeks ago. I was most impressed by the good solid heft it had especially compared to my plasticky lightweight D5000. I didn't have time to really fiddle with the controls and shoot in manual but I did get off a few from the hip so to speak. The following picture was made with the D7000 and a 35/1.8G wide open 1/60 shutter speed and something like a whopping 6400 ISO! I think it would have been much better if I could have done it manually instead of automatic. It was dark enough that you could barely make out a person's face sitting across the table from you. This lovely couple are British expats now living in Texas who are going to retire to Belize in a few years. They were fascinating people both of them worked for Rolls Royce where they met and married some 36 years ago. Her father and grandfather both worked for Rolls Royce also.
