D7000 video, mic+ shutter speed?

Hey fellas, we are trying to make a small kickstarter video on a d7000. The first thing that bugs us, is the picture seems to keep readjusting for light. It darkens and lightens through out the whole video. video is shot in 3 separate rooms here in our office. standard office lighting. Adding more light for us isn't really an option, is there a way i can stop this auto adjusting?

The second thing is the mic input. Ideally we don't want to record sound on a separate track, what kind of mic can i plug into the input jack? Is it a TRS mini jack?

thanks for any advice.

In the menu set you AE-L/AF-L button to AE lock (Hold).
Also helpful is to set Auto ISO control minimum shutter speed to 1/50s.
In A mode not live view, set the desired aperture then press AE-L/AF-L button to engage AE lock (Hold).
Switch to live view and the aperture will have changed to the locked setting and you should have 1/50s shutter with a fixed ISO.
Press record and exposure will not change during recording.
