D7000 settings display on LCD?

I recently got this nikon D7000 and I am watching youtube videos learning about the camera. What I want to know is that how can I display my settings on my LCD just like in youtube videos?
Menu button displays different settings. Please take a look at this pic below. I want these settings to appear on my lcd.

It seems the problem may be solved. All I had to do was to let the lcd go black and then click the info button which brings out that menu.

Although I'd still like to know the proper way to do it.
