I picked up my D7000 in the Boxing month LOL and was $729 CDN body only. I was indecisive about buying the 70-300mm at the same time and then realized the $379 it was when I bought my camera was a steal and I'd missed it :( I haven't even scratched the surface learning with my D7000 so waiting for a 7100 was no worry of mine. I'm easily pleased but what made me go for the 7000 over the 5200 was the second card slot. Yes I'm Snaphappy but the real reason is I can't count how many times I get my camera ready for taking pics and realize my card is still in my card reader OOPS I also really liked that I get a few more lens options (older lenses) with the 7000. There is nothing in the new 7100 that makes me upset for not waiting on the latest model I'm quite happy with the old technology :)
