D7000 Picture control options for portraits?

I'm starting to play around with Aperature priority for portraits and I'm looking for input on how every sets their Picture control? Do you use the Portrait option? Do you change its settings or leave as is? Do you select another option such as Standard and modify its settings? I may also try some Monochrome just for fun. Thanks.

Studio shooting with lights I use manual mode...

Standard works well for me but I normally use the RAW file, so the picture control does not really matter when I edit them using Adobe CS5.

I shoot everything RAW... I never set any camera options because I never use JPG straight out of the camera...

Ha!!!!!
I am red. Green color blind.
So I rely on jpeg alot.
My post processing sucks!
I just try to get it right in camera.
