Re: Help!!!! D5300 or D7000??? Seems the link you provided weighs out the Pros and Cons in a very "in-detail" comparison, so what matters now is what YOU value more. Plus, we don't know what you're wanting to shoot, where you're wanting to shoot, how often you're wanting to shoot or any of your personal preferences. Maybe post a little more info? The two factors that would make it a tough choice for each one for me would be: The 5300 has a higher frame rate for video, and a fold out multi-angle LCD screen. Both quite admirable features, but... The 7000 is weather sealed (reason 1, no panic if I'm out and about) and takes a LOT more pictures per battery charge, plus offers dual memory card slots (so reason 2 is it does more with less swapping/effort). As a side bonus: The internal focus makes it compatible with quite a few more lenses too. Since I'm not shooting video, the 7000 wins, but as suggested above, if you've got the funds, I'd say the D7100 would make it an even BETTER choice. Having said that, I'm still shooting on my trusty D3100, and will be for quite some time as I'll have to squirrel away the funds for a while before upgrading. Whichever one ya buy, enjoy it and share some shots!
