The only thing I can find is in David Busch's Field Guide under Live View time remaining where he states: This is displayed when the amount of shooting time in Live View mode is 30 seconds or less. Although Live View is possible for 60 minutes, if the D7000 overheats, this countdown display appears and the camera exits Live View before damage is done. Does it happen every time you go into Live View, or just after you've been using it for a while? Perhaps the conditions you're shooting under have the sensor too warm to begin with? Without more information I can't tell you tell you if it's a normal function functioning normally or abnormally, but I suspect that's the source of what's going on. If it's only happening after the camera has been in Live View for an extended time then the camera is functioning normally and you just need to give the sensor time to cool (try turning Live View off when not actively shooting). If it happens all the time then I'd contact Nikon as the temperature sensor could be malfunctioning.
