I have been shooting on the D800E for a few months, and with the help of my fellow Nikonites I chose the D7000 over the D5100. I am so glad I did. The video is great, I used it last week. Well tonight I had a wedding, so it wash first time with the D7000 on a shoot. I had a 50mm 1.4g on it. The D800E had a 24-70 & 70-200. I was surprised to see that the D7000 kicked royal ass!! It's fast, accurate, and is similar layout to the d800E. I also have a battery grip on the D7000, as well as the D800E. I know many people may question this, however it seems there is less shutter lag with the D7000 vs the D800E. I mean as soon as I touch the shutter button it fires aggressively! Great camera and worth every penny. Also the low light performance is mind blowing for a crop sensor. I wonder if the D7100 is leaps better. I'm thoroughly impressed I love my D7000.
