Hi, I have a D70 with three reasonable lenses that has served me well but is on its last legs (increasingly the mirror sticks up and I have to power off and remove the battery to get it to reset) and so old that it's hardly worth getting repaired. I don't have the kind of budget that I originally had when I bought my D70 new, so I'm wondering which of the following to do:
1. Pick up a second hand, low actuation count D90 body for £200, carry on using my lenses, have a higher end camera that's much better than my D70, but it's still old (out of production fro five years now)
2. Buy a D3200 new for £280, accept that my lenses won't work with it (no motors in the lenses), maybe sell my existing lenses, and just accept that I'm now entry level, not mid range.
I don't really want to go down to a lower class of camera and lose the ability to use my lenses with AF with it, but I'm not sure that spending this much money on something as old as a D90 is a wise move. My thinking behind the D3200 was that technology moves on so quickly that even a lower end modern camera would be much better.
Any opinions are gratefully received.
Thanks, Nick.
