I had a wedding to do on April 5th so sent mine back on April 9th knowing I had 4.5 weeks until the next wedding. They received it on the 11th. I called to make sure they knew why it was there and asked about the D610 replacement and the reply was that decision would be made by the professionals there. I was ok with that and not knowing what would be their deciding factors. I got my own D600 back on April 18th with a new shutter mechanism and everything cleaned and adjusted on it. It performed amazingly well afterwards and had the look and feel of a new camera so I'm very happy with the repair and the 9 day turn-around time. Would have I rather had the D610? Personally, I don't care because the D600 with the shutter replacement is pretty much a D610 and has practically zero shutter clicks. I'll keep my sensor cleaning kit, but don't plan to use it any time soon.
