Hi Just joined yesterday I'm from Port Glasgow Scotland and been a D5100 user since last October. It was my first Dslr and was among the list of cameras recommended to my by someone on my Facebook that used to be a manager of a Jessop store in Ireland. I'm happy with my choice. I own the 18-55 kit lens and AF-S 35mm 1.8g along with a Velbon Ultra Rexi L tripod and waiiting on the Nikon 18-200mm VRII. I also own a Panasonic TZ7 point and shoot which I find to be a decent concert camera. As an amature enthisiast I have always liked taking pictures and decided last year that I would like to have more control over the pictures I took and be able to get more effects so decided to enter the word of Dslr's. I like landscape photos and nightime city photography floodlight buildings bridges lit up waterfront shots traffic trails etc. I also like portrait and a bit of Macro though Ive felt I havent got the proper lenses or equipment for good macro shots. Early this year I took a little 10 week photography course at college for two hours per week. Learned all about bracketting and focus points and composition it was fun. I also love music. I'm now definately a Nikon convert. Peter.
