Hi guys,
Can someone help me out please? I recently purchased a faulty D5100. It's been dropped and the mirror mechanism basically fell apart. I've got it all back together and the camera now works again. However, 1 tiny spring also fell out from the mirror box and I can't see where it goes to put it back in. This spring is situated right at the rear left side of the mirror box and I believe it applies pressure to the AF-S sub mirror. The sub mirror is currently flapping about without this spring fitted in there and the AF-S is not working so I need to refit it.
An chance someone could email me a close up of that spring fitted to your camera so I can see where it goes?
