I'm a new member here and have a question about my D3500. I didn't find a thread for the d3500. I've used a D40 for many years and loved that camera, but bought the d3500 for its video capability. With the D40 I found I could just connect it directly to my computers, Macbook Pro and Ubuntu linux laptop and simply transfer files quickly and without issue. However, with the d3500, my Mac does not see the camera as a drive when directly connected. The linux box will see it but file transfer from the camera is extremely slow. I use an SD card reader to transfer the files to both computers now, but it's simply another step that wasn't necessary with the 10 year old D40. Can anyone help with why the mac can't see the d3500 and/or why the Ubuntu Linux box sees such a slow transfer from the camera? Thanks for the help!
