Likely it was not used with the 420-800 lens. </p><p></p><p>If you have a local camera store, you can probably get a T mount there and make sure it is correct. They are fairly common. Look at the camera end of the 420-800. It should have simple fine threads. It is possible there is some other camera adapter already on the lens.
