The D300s prices are staying firm in fact they are going up. Reason is the D300s is the last semi pro DX body Nikon will make with the 51 focus points,and all the rest of the features that make the D300/ 300s so great a camera. There will not be a D400 there will be an upgrade to the D7000 and that's all. Nikon is going full speed ahead with FX. Think about it when was the last Pro( gold ring) DX lens it was the 17-55mm 2.8 there hasn't been any since. The last true pro DX body was the D2Xs which came out in 2006 I believe. It's replacement was the D3 however it was fX. I don't believe Nikon is going to come out with anymore consumer dX glass either.</p></blockquote><p></p>
