D-90 Quick Settings?

I need some help/examples on your favorite setting for a D-90. I'm currently setup on the "manual" dial with an 18-200 lens set to manual as well. Sometimes I get blurry or way out of focus photos and it can be very frustrating!
Any advice is welcomed…
