So I picked up a gig doing a portrait shoot with a singer/songwriter who is releasing a music CD. He wants a cover-shot and some "casual" portraits. The client is partial to the cinematic look (yea!) as well as B&W. Shooting location is Balboa Park so there's no shortage of amaaaazing architectural and landscape elements to work with; almost too many, actually. A bicycle, which I haven't seen yet, will be a key "prop" in the shoot; I'm hoping against hope it's a beach-cruiser! Anyway, I'll be shooting later in the afternoon with the strong possibility of getting into doing some actual night-photography. The client is easy-going and wide-open to creative direction. I will have one assistant. I'd like to break out of the usual (boring!) men's sitting/standing portrait poses and am looking for any kind of creative suggestions... Poses, lighting, post-processing techniques whatever you've got. I have a couple weeks to get my Kreative Juicez® flowing. Any suggestions appreciated. .....
