Crab and ocean stones

This one goes waaaay back (around 1984). I was walking the beach on northern Whidbey Island, WA and saw this scene. What really caught my eye was the two barnacles on the carapace of the small crab. They are perfectly in the center and looked like eyes to me. The sharp angular lines of the crab are in direct contrast with the rounded and smooth outlines of the stones.

Nikon F2 and 55mm f/2.8 AIS Micro-Nikkor with Ektachrome 64 (I REALLY miss that stuff!)

Do you actually really miss Ektachrome 64?

Of course. It was sharp and best of all it was E6 process so I could process it myself. Kodachrome 64 was great too but you had to send it off for processing and the images came back in cardboard mounts. I never mounted my transparency film, because printing it was a PITA and scanning was even worse.

What didn't you like about it?
