Could someone give me samples of 55-200mm & 55-300mm?

Doing the math, isn't the 55-200 in DX roughly the same as a 70-300 in FX? 55-200 x 1.5= 82-350. So, a 55-300 would equal a 82-450 in FX, right?

In terms of focal length, your computation is correct. In terms of total area that can be recorded by the camera, it is different. FX is larger on all four sides.

If you put a 55-300mm DX lens on a FX lens, it will be able to record or function as a DX camera but you will not get additional 1.5x factor when you use a FX camera since that 55-300mm DX lens is already factored in. So, the 82-450mm computation is wrong and the answer remains 55-300mm when using it with a FX camera.
