Cleaning a lens internally

Anyone know a good way to clean a lens inside, or even somewhere cheap (in UK) that can do it.
I have an old Makinon 28-80mm F/3.5-4.5 which looks like its got some fog/fungus on one (or more) of the elements inside.

I'm tempted to open it up but I've never dismantled a lens before so not sure I want.

I had a cheap zoom lens that was giving me a lot of trouble with failing to extend.

It was FAR cheaper to replace than repair, so I decided to disassemble it and see just what the problem was.

I am southern, so the first tool I grabbed was my ball peen hammer. This is NOT the best tool for the job, but I DID

find out what the problem was. The problem was my using a ball peen hammer to disassemble a freakin' lens!

Take it to someone that has the correct tools.

Vise grips and duct tape are my tools of choice.
And the old saying holds if it moves and it's not supposed to use duct tape and if it doesn't move and it's supposed to use WD40.

Once you get your lens cleaned up you may want to consider buying some desiccant to help keep the moisture out of your camera bag and equipment.

Not even sure whether I want to spend money on cleaning it - just had a look on ebay, and they're selling for around the £5-10 mark!!

Probably not worth the time and effort - would have been nice though just to have a play around.

Oh well might just take my IT kit to it and see what I can do, worse comes to worse, I'll end up with a broken lens :p
