Changing cell phone providers

In October I will be able to switch to a different cell phone carrier. When I switched to Verizon for the plan I now have, they made sure I didn't have anything in writing until after the 10-day cancellation period. When I finally received info on my plan, I was told I'd get more data than what I did. And of course, nothing could be done to rectify the situation.

So I will look at going back to AT&T in October, but my question is this: is there a difference signing up in an AT&T store vs. enrolling with AT&T at Target? Do they tend to offer the same plans?

Same exact plans. In my case, I've usually found the actual location to be a little quicker compared to say Best Buy but your location will vary on times based on foot traffic and number of employees. Plans are exactly the same though.
