CF express type b card reader for windows ?

Hello forum,

I am looking for a card reader for CFexpress type B - I have a SanDisk Extreme pro 64gb card I am using in a D500, card works fine in camera and I can move photos from it with the USB cable.

I got a cheap reader from amazon and I have the "no media" issue when I try and read a CF card (its duel slot and SD works fine). I quickly learned this is a very common problem with cheap readers.

My question is does anyone using Windows (my version is latest 11) and SanDisk CFexpress cards have a reader that works.

Thanks

I have a Benfei that my daughter ordered from amazon. It works fine on my HP laptop running windows 11. Runs about $20. I can transfer the high resolution files from my Z7ii in short order. Loading them through a USB cable takes forever. Hopefully it's not something in your setup. I didn't do anything to set mine up, just plugged it in and inserted the CF card.

Here's the link.

That's what I need (I think) I was looking through and made some improper assumptions that they were all compatible, mine says "XQD card reader". In trying to figure this out I learned much about the XQD and CFexpress type cards. Cheap enough to give a go, thank you!

I hate to bring this up, but it could be the OS. Sometime after I updated my PC from Win10 to 11 the built-in SD card reader stopped recognizing any card. I wish I could recall how I finally fixed it, but I had started using a USB plug-in reader. Then that stopped reading cards also. Out of desperation I consulted the great Googley Moogley and fixed the issue.

Its a good thing to bring up, I have several PC's and the action is the same on other PC's. I tried most practical Googlies with no results. I found an astounding amount of finicky action with CF cards and various readers.

I ordered the one Clovishound has for a try, before computer surgery
