Caribbean Adventure

Hey Guys,
I've got some photos that I've taken over the last few months while I've been living on a boat in the Caribbean. I have a D3100 which I know is an entry level model but it's my first 'real' camera and as far as I can tell it's been great.

The last photo isn't really fancy but I think it kind of shows that it's not all sun and beaches. Maybe it's just me...

So, all of these photos have been taken using the RAW format with the 18-55mm kit lens and I've used Lightroom 4 to edit them to what I think looks 'good'. Please give any criticisms and ideas because as I said, I'm pretty new to all of this and I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers!

While the camera might be "entry" level, your images are not. Just because it is cheaper, doesn't mean it's entry level. I'm willing to bet you can find some pretty bad images taken with the D3x. lol. Where in the Caribbean were ya? Been all over there on cruises. Love the clear water and beaches down there.

Nice, thanks for sharing.

Don't sell yourself short. You have a quality camera - the camera is a non-issue. It just doesn't have as many bells & whistles as higher models, but it's a great camera.

Keep shooting and sharing.

Thanks heaps guys.
By the way, how much does everyone edit their photos?
Because the unedited images that I take really don't look too special so I'm not sure if I'm cheating by doing a sort of "I'll just fix it in Lightroom" thing (within reason).
Mfrankfort I was all over the East side from St. Martin to Grenada. It really is a special place!
Let me know if I'm not allowed but if anyone wants to see some more photos and see what it's all about: Around The World In 44 Feet | The world is like a book and those who do not travel read only a page.Cheers

We went to St. Martin and St. Thomas a few months ago on a cruise. Amazing there. We all do a bit of editing I think. We're not cheating, we're enhancing... haha.
