I used to use card readers all the time, but they kept breaking on me, so, now I just use the Camera direct port.

The one I've been using was a freebee so understandably it was slow...It's an Ebay store no name card reader that didn't cost a lot [$8.00]Probably made in china, I bought because it will read the small SD cards that my MP 4/5 requires...
