I primarily use it as a RAW converter and 'tweaker' and often export in TIFF and use Zoner Photo Studio to add additional effects - though the JPG exports out of NX-D often 'hit the spot' for my purposes without any further adjustment required. The fact that NX-D can maintain the camera's (D7200) picture control settings is a big advantage for me.
With that said... what are people's thoughts on sharpening in NX-D with the Unsharp Mask? I'm convinced it's some sort of 'dark art' that falls just short of voodoo. I was for a long time using applying high 'intensity' settings (approx 50) and low radius and threshold settings (less than 5) but of late I'm finding 10/1/1 gives good results - the picture of the Jag below was set at 10/1/1.
It's a subjective thing of course, but I'm keen to hear your own takes on this.
