Cannot download videos from D5300 (photos are downloadable)

Hi all,

I am trying to find a way to download my videos from my Nikon D5300.
I have no issues downloading photos but whenever I try to download videos (send to device option) it states:
"This option is not available at current settings or in the camera's current state".

I also tried to connect camera to laptop via cable - I see images but not videos.
I removed Memory card and stuck it into my card reader connected to laptop - again only photos are on it but not the videos.

When looking through the camera I can see the videos and play them.

Anyone knows what the issue is?

Welcome, sorry i dont do video but have you tried putting the card in the reader opening it as a disc and then just dragging the enclosed folder onto your desktop.
