Great shots of cannons of old!
Now THIS is a modern day cannon, all 155m (6.1") of whoop-ass!! It takes a crew of 8 to man this behemoth. I took this in Air Assault School at FT Campbell. KY many moons ago. This M-777 is being "sling loaded" by a CH-47 "Chinook". The rotor downwash under that beast is extreme to say the least. It is all you can do to hold on to something so as not to get blown over.
