[QUOTE="Wolfsatz, post: 751245, member: 47679"] I have now been feeding my aviary friends for over a year now; to which I can name without trouble most of the time. However, a week ago as I was coming back from an errand, I parked and as I walk toward our walkway, there was this guy having brunch to what I think it was a gold finch as he left a few of its feathers. I was surprised that it wasn't until my son got within feet of him (he did not stop fast enough) that he actually took flight. Also, I have never actually realized, that as with African water holes, I've created an oasis for these predators. Today, this guy came chasing into-inside a bush perhaps a sparrow or something small; this time the little friend got away. But what a magnificent bird this is. Not sure what kind of Hawk this is. Anyone?
