The reviews and photos are cracking me up.

"I am only docking one star off because while mounting this lens on my 7D, I accidentally dropped it and it fell through the floor and killed my mother's best friend. No worries, insurance is taking care of it and the lens is fine. HIGHLY recommended! "

4. Do not use it for photographing ANYTHING from the deck of your home in San Francisco - unless you want your neighbors phoning SFPD complaining that you are a voyeur - SFPD was impressed with my photos of the Palace of Fine Arts and Alcatraz. Now I wanted this lens for nature photography - this is what I do for fun. Unfortunately, I think the lens is much too large and heavy to be transported with any ease other than hiring a Sherpa.

The reviews are awesome. I read them all and had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Here's a personal favorite:

I was a bit hesitant at first to buy this lens because of the weight, but i really needed f2.8 at 500. I take lots of outdoor pictures of my extended family who happens to live 30 minutes away. With this particular Sigma lens i can easily get on my roof and snap away at them.
