I guess for this model, the way (may be) is to put the battery when the switch is already in 'on' position then to turn to bulb then off. the camera was without battery over night before that (in case it makes any difference). so it was not the moisture or taking pics in snow, it 'likely' hanged when turned off while the camera was saving to card.</blockquote>
