What you would need is at least 5fps shooting, which approaches the $1k mark for body only (d7000). Faster glass will likely be better in that hockey scenario for you, plus, when you CAN afford to upgrade, it's one less thing to worry about. If your budget is 1200, then you have to ask yourself which is more important, faster/longer glass, or a faster shooting body?</blockquote>
