It's a sling type bag, and it goes over one shoulder only, but slides around to my front  where I can access everything in it quickly and easily. There is another strap on it that goes around my body to secure it. The AW stands for All Weather as it has an enclosed vinyl hood for those rainy days. I keep my D90 w/grip with my 70-300mm lens on it and my other 2 lenses and my flash unit in it. It also has numerous pouches and pockets for other various gear, and a tripod holder.</p></blockquote><p></p>
