You could ask them if you wish, but it's kind of a company policy for Japanese companies that have canadian distributor (this is what Nikon Canada is). The canadian distributor buys the camera from Nikon and they make a markup on it but they have to supply the warranty. So for them to service a camera that they sold means that the warranty was paid for this camera.</p></blockquote><p></p>
