[QUOTE="snaphappy, post: 224927, member: 12198"] I usually shoot Raw but switched to jpeg fine for these as my card was getting full. These and the tree festival were all low light and no flash with my 35mm. Later when my kids were skating I played with longer exposures and got some interesting blurred skating figures and made people disappear, I also played with high iso. I'd still prefer not to use high iso but it was nice to be able to catch the shot I'd other wise miss in the dark. A year ago I would filled an SD card and been unhappy with nearly all of them. This year I spent more time watching and enjoying everything and captured most of the shots I wanted so I'm pleased with my progress in the last 10mnths :) The 35mm 1.8G is a really nice low cost lens and I really like it. I just wish it was wider... I have a 50mm 1.8D and its such a nice tiny easy to throw in your pocket lens but I find I don't use it often because usually when I'm doing low light or wanting the sharpness I want the wider 35mm.
