We did have an amazing experience as we sat around the campfire late at night though because we were right on the lake the loons must have been within feet of us because it awesome to hear the call of them. It started when some called from very far away but then the mournful sounding calls were returned (VERY LOUDLY) from very close. My daughter said it sounded kind of creepy but then they followed up with their laughing sound which made us giggle because it was immediately after she said it sounded creepy LOL They continued to call back and forth and it was lovely.
