Message: <blockquote data-quote="snaphappy" data-source="post: 121150" data-attributes="member: 12198">Risk W she is a purebred AKC Newfoundland just not a proper colour.  Cocoa is the result of parents that both carried recessive genes for grey and brown leaving her a weird grey brown colour so she looks like a greyish grizzly bear.  She also had an unfortunate stay at a boarding kennel last summer where they allowed to swim in a drying clay pond for a week and never once turned a hose on her so her coat met my horse clippers and she hasn't got her big feathery tail or mane back yet.We also have a 12yr old Landseer Newf cross and the ferocious fella playing with Cocoa is a Shiloh Shepard who at 31inches at the shoulder is our "small" dog.</blockquote>
