Message: <blockquote data-quote="stmv" data-source="post: 106259" data-attributes="member: 10038"><p>yes, similar design, I am always so gentle taking out the batteries, I almost like the old open flap, out popped the battery,  I remembered my D300 battery lock was like fort knox, but Nikon cheaponed it for the D700 and people complained,, so they added the little lever to keep it from falling out when you open the flap. I wonder if a local repair shop can sort it out for like 20 dollars. Personally, I always try my local shop first, so far, they have fixed every thing that I have brought in (including the shattered screen on back).</p></blockquote><p></p>
