Stick with your 18-55 for now, and the time will come when you can move up to a 35mm lens. I should tell you that your camera takes AF-S lenses. You can use AF lenses, but you'll have to shoot manually.</p><p>AF-S = lens has built in focus motor</p><p>AF = no built in focus motor.</p><p>High end camera have built in focus motors, so they can use either lenses.
