I set up a comfy chair and the tripod in the backyard tonight and took some photos of the eclipse.

I'm glad I got to see the last one in April as the sky was totally clouded over here last night. It still is and we have had a shower of rain this morning. Looks like being a dull day un;less the cloud burns off.

Tis a truly cool sight that blood moon stuff and you got some great pics. Well done and lucky you :D

Thats a shame, sounds like most of the south-east missed it due to cloud cover. We were a bit worried as it clouded over early in the morning, but by lunchtime it had cleared.

This is the first one that I have sat down to watch, I would have liked to watch until the shadow passed through the other side, but I had a 2.30am start, so had to go to bed.
I stayed out until it was in full shadow, and waited about another 15 minutes, it was still brighter on one side as you can see in my last pic, but I couldn't wait any longer.
I am happy with what I captured with the 70-300, but would have loved to had a 150-600 on the D7100.:rolleyes:
