It is not an ideal lens for tracking subjects.I also like the color rendition of this lens, but miss the VR. Over all, if I had the funds I would have gone the Tamron 70-200mm VC route as [MENTION=13090]Horoscope Fish[/MENTION] suggested. Paying 500.00 dollars for an f/2.8 telephoto lens, I really can't complain.</blockquote>
